Clipchamp offers three video-related products: Create, Utilities and Collect.

Create and Utilities are available to use on in your browser – you simply sign up for a free account or login with Facebook or Google to get started straight away, no software installations required.

Each product has a free or trial plan, as well as paid plans with more advanced features. You can access all products from the one Clipchamp account, but paid plans are charged separately for each product, so if you want to use the advanced features of two products (e.g. Utilities and Create), you'll need to upgrade for each separately.*

For more information about our three products and what they do, see below.

Clipchamp Create

Our in-browser video editor lets you combine and edit multiple videos, images, music and titles and then export the project to your computer. You can also add visual effects, for example slowing down a video or adding a filter.

Create currently works in the Google Chrome browser on your desktop or laptop.

It's free and easy to use, even for those with no editing experience – just sign up at to start editing straight away, or read how it works here.

Create paid plans offer higher export resolutions (qualities) and access to stock video, music and audio.

Clipchamp Utilities

Our in-browser suite of video tools includes a video compressor, converter, and webcam recorder. It allows you to reduce video file sizes with no visible quality loss, convert video files to different formats, or record videos with your webcam.

Utilities works in a range of browsers on your desktop or laptop, but performs best in Google Chrome

Just drag and drop files and choose from simple settings – no technical skills required! Sign up at to get started straight away.

The free version places a small watermark in the corner of your videos, and limits webcam recording to 5 minutes. The paid plan offers watermark-free videos and recordings of up to 30 minutes.

Clipchamp Collect (API & Wordpress Plugin)

Our JavaScript video API lets you use Clipchamp's record, convert and compress features on your own website to collect videos from your site visitors. It is a paid service and we offer a number of subscription options to choose from.

The API is not part of a free Clipchamp account, however every API plan comes with a free trial period so you can implement and test both the API and its WordPress plugin.

It requires some technical setup, depending on the level of customisation and the use case you'd like to use the API and/or WordPress plugin in for.

*Note: you can't use a paid Collect plan and Utilities plan with the same account.

In addition to our above products we also offer 2 extensions you can use for free with Clipchamp products:

  1. The Clipchamp extension for Chrome including its batch processing option for Utilities and video recorder for Gmail
  2. The Slack Video Recorder and Slack Video Uploader app
