When you're processing videos on clipchamp.com or are using a Clipchamp video recorder and/or video uploading widget on the website of one of our API customers, your browser might request permission for Clipchamp to temporarily store large files on your device. For instance, if you're uploading videos on the website of one of our API customers, the temp space is necessary for the uploading process to complete successfully.

This temporary space is required for our video processing and recording tools to function properly and does not negatively affect your device. We make it available again as soon as the video processing (recording and/or converting and/or uploading) is finished.

The reason we require this temporary space is due to the size of video files and the requirement to store files while they are getting processed. As mentioned, this temp space is made available again shortly after the video recording and/or conversion is complete.
