We're a young technology company based in Brisbane, Australia that offers a range of tools to help you create, edit, and record videos. Our products don't require software installation – to use them, simply
go to our video editor in your web browser (Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome)
sign in using Microsoft, Facebook, Google, or an email address to create a free account
start working on your videos straight away.
What's different about Clipchamp? Unlike other providers, where files have to be uploaded to a server for processing, Clipchamp's cutting-edge proprietary technology processes video files inside your browser on your computer.
This makes the process much faster and provides better privacy protection because the video files never leave your computer (unless you decide to share them or use the content backup feature). We also aim to make our tools easy to use, so you don't need to fiddle with complicated settings.
Clipchamp video editor (desktop)
Our in-browser video editor lets you combine and edit multiple video clips, images, music, and titles and then export the finished video to your computer. You can also add visual effects, for example slowing down a video or adding a filter.
It currently works in the Google Chrome browser or Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based version) on your desktop or laptop.
Its paid plans offer the use of advanced features, and access to stock video, music, and audio.
Clipchamp mobile app
Our mobile app is currently available for free on iOS devices. We're considering adding paid plans at a later stage.
The app lets you record and edit videos, make use of templates, and most importantly, it includes automated voice recognition and subtitling feature. This is particularly useful for the quick creation of good-looking mobile videos to share through social media where many viewers watch clips with sound disabled by default.
