Clipchamp is an online video editor designed to make video creation easy for everyone, even for those with no prior editing experience.

It allows you to combine your videos, images, and audio files, as well as add text and effects, and then save the finished video to your computer. You can also add stock videos and stock music or sound effects. Just sign up for a free account on the home page and start editing your videos straight away.

Here's a 2-min tutorial video that shows how Clipchamp works:

_________

What software do I need to be able to use Clipchamp?

All you need to use Clipchamp is a desktop or laptop computer with Google Chrome installed (it's free and easy to install, just download it here) and an internet connection. Clipchamp also works in the latest version of Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based). Our desktop editor is currently not supported on mobile devices, however we also have a mobile app available that works on Apple devices.

_________

Does it cost anything?

Paid plans give access to premium features such as stock assets and higher-resolution exports, but a free account still includes all the essential tools you need to edit your videos.

_________

How is it different to other video makers?

While many other editing applications require you to download software, Clipchamp exists entirely within your browser and utilises the power of our unique localised processing.

It is also more private than other online editors, because it doesn't require you to upload your files, and can get you working with your files faster.

_________

Local processing... what’s that?

In Clipchamp, every step of the video creation process is completed locally on your computer. Assets like footage, images and audio are accessed directly from your hard drive and can be used almost instantly, bypassing the time-consuming process of uploading to the cloud. This makes using it lightning fast. ⚡
