What input file types does Clipchamp support?

You can add almost any type of video, image, or audio file to a video editing project.

Video file formats supported by Clipchamp

Our video editor will accept MP4, MOV, WEBM, AVI, DIVX, FLV, 3GP, WMV, VOB, DCM, and MKV video container files, as well as a wide variety of video codecs. Some of these file types are getting automatically converted before they can be used in your project so you may have to wait longer for these files to load.

If you’re not sure if your input file is supported, simply add it, and see if Clipchamp is able to recognize it.

Accepted video resolutions include 480p, 720p, 1080p, and 4K.

At present, HDR media assets (videos and photos) are not supported.
